Plymouth United was founded by families in the Plymouth community in the summer of 2010 with the goal of creating a player-focused club to develop passionate, confident, skilled youth players. As a quickly growing select club, we offer year-round, individual and team training, as well as competitive play in the select outdoor division of the Western Suburban Soccer League and the Michigan State Youth Soccer Association, and indoor play at area facilities.

Our mission is to continue to provide player-focused and team training with individualized attention to each of our player's physical, cognitive, and emotional development. Players train and learn at different rates and each youth player is unique. Our mission is to prepare each of our players to compete at the highest level of select and premier competition so that they can play with the best throughout their playing careers.

In addition to providing our players with the highest level training, our coaching and training staff applies positive coaching techniques.  Select soccer is competitive, but that does not mean that youth players should be treated like professional athletes, out to win each game at all costs.  We believe all youth sports should instill in children confidence and the belief that they can accomplish amazing things. We are aware that as youth players learn new skills, they need to practice the skills repeatedly, making many mistakes in practice sessions - and in games - along the way. Eventually, with guidance, patience, and support from their coaches, parents, and teammates, players learn and master the skills of the game and become strong, confident players.

 

Youth players spend a great deal of time with their coaches and coaches become significant role models in our children's lives. Our coaches and trainers provide a positive, character-building experience for our players. We believe that coaching involves more than winning on the field - it includes positively impacting our players, modeling sportsmanship and responsibility, and acting in our players' best interests  - win or lose.​   That's the United Difference!
